Designing a website can be a daunting task for those unfamiliar with the process. It requires a well-thought-out plan, a good understanding of the goals of the website, and knowledge of web design principles. In this document, we will outline the steps to create a successful website design process.

Step 1: Brand Discovery

We need to get to the bottom of who you are, what you stand for. Only then can we begin to create a design that portrays the value you offer in a way that resonates with the people who matter: the people you want to do business with.

Step 2: Sitemap and Website Flow

Based on your inputs and our research, we create the website sitemap and flow of the website – How will individual pages connect with each other and lead the user to the end page. In addition, website font and color concepts will be presented.

We’ll go through these options and decide which direction to take and any adjustments.

Step 3: Website Content & Graphics

Once we’ve agreed on a final flow of the website, we proceed with development, kicking off two phases in unison.

The first involves creating your site’s content and graphics. We use any existing content you have online as reference and build a refined copy. Now we have your website flow locked-in, we can begin to construct the website.

If not, we can bring in an external copywriter who can help put your ideas down through the “voice” of your brand. This will be a part of the proposal - no extra payments necessary.

In parallel, we will start building the design of the website. This ideally is done via mockup imagery and without animations. Since this adds to the time of the website, this part is optional.

Step 4: Development

Using everything we’ve gathered, we kick off the technical side of the web design process. This will include deploying your CMS, creating your custom theme and page designs, and setting up your website’s analytics.

Once it’s done, we’ll present it to you and go through the details in accordance with the objectives originally set.

Any amends in design and layout will be made at this stage.
